Pathology Lab Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Lab Technician to manage operations within our Experience Lab / Pathology Lab. The role involves performing diagnostic tests, maintaining laboratory equipment, ensuring quality standards, and delivering an excellent patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sample Collection & Handling

• Collect blood, urine, and other biological samples following standard protocols

• Ensure proper labeling, storage, and transportation of samples

• Maintain hygiene and infection control standards

2. Diagnostic Testing

• Perform routine and specialized pathology tests (Hematology, Biochemistry, Serology, etc.)

• Operate automated analyzers and laboratory instruments

• Record and validate test results accurately

3. Quality Control & Compliance

• Follow NABL/ISO guidelines and laboratory SOPs

• Conduct internal quality checks and calibration of equipment

• Ensure compliance with safety and biomedical waste disposal protocols

4. Patient Experience (Experience Lab Focus)

• Provide a smooth and comfortable experience to patients

• Explain basic test procedures and address patient concerns

• Maintain professionalism and empathy during patient interactions

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain test records, logs, and reports accurately

• Coordinate with doctors and front desk for report delivery

• Ensure timely turnaround of test results

6. Equipment Maintenance

• Regularly check and maintain lab instruments

• Troubleshoot minor technical issues

• Coordinate with service engineers when required
