Payroll Intern – Job Description

Job Title: Payroll Intern

Location: Gurgaon

Department: HR & Payroll

Duration: 6 Months (Internship)

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Payroll Intern to support our HR and Payroll team in payroll processing, employee records management, statutory compliance, and documentation. This internship provides hands-on experience in payroll operations and labor law compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in preparing monthly payroll inputs such as attendance, leave, overtime, and salary revisions.

- Maintain employee payroll records and HR documentation.

- Support payroll processing and salary reconciliation.

- Assist in statutory compliance activities related to PF, ESI, PT, TDS, and labor laws.

- Coordinate with employees to resolve payroll-related queries.

- Verify employee joining, exit, and KYC documents.

- Help prepare payroll reports, MIS, and reconciliation statements.

- Maintain confidentiality of employee and payroll information.

- Perform other HR and payroll-related tasks assigned by the reporting manager.

Required Qualifications

- Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in B.Com, BBA, MBA (HR/Finance), or a related field.

- Basic understanding of payroll concepts and statutory compliance is preferred.

- Good knowledge of MS Excel and Microsoft Office.

- Strong analytical and organizational skills.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
