JOB DESCRIPTION SEO EXPERT

Position: SEO Expert

Department: Digital Marketing

Reporting To: Digital Marketing / Marketing Head

ROLE PURPOSE

We are looking for a performance-oriented SEO Expert who will be responsible for improving the company’s online visibility, organic search rankings, website traffic, and organic lead generation.

The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in On-Page, Off-Page and Technical SEO, along with the ability to analyse data, identify growth opportunities, and execute SEO strategies that deliver measurable results.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. SEO Strategy & Planning

• Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies aligned with business and lead-generation objectives.

• Plan monthly SEO activities and prioritize high-impact opportunities.

• Conduct regular SEO audits and identify areas for improvement.

• Analyse competitors and identify opportunities to outperform them in search results.

2. Keyword Research

• Conduct extensive keyword research based on search volume, competition, relevance, and business potential.

• Identify high-intent keywords for property/project-related searches.

• Develop keyword strategies for location-based and local SEO.

3. On-Page SEO

• Optimize website pages, landing pages, titles, meta descriptions, headings, URLs, internal linking and content structure.

• Ensure proper keyword placement and content optimization.

• Identify and improve underperforming pages.

• Implement internal linking strategies to improve rankings and user navigation.

4. Technical SEO

• Monitor website crawling, indexing and technical health.

• Identify and coordinate resolution of issues related to broken links, redirects, duplicate content, canonical tags, sitemap, robots.txt, page speed and Core Web Vitals.

• Work closely with the website/development team for technical SEO implementation.

5. Off-Page SEO & Link Building

• Develop ethical and quality-focused backlink strategies.

• Identify relevant websites, directories, publications and other link-building opportunities.

• Monitor backlink quality and maintain a healthy link profile.

• Avoid spammy or black-hat SEO practices.

6. Local SEO

• Manage and optimize Google Business Profiles and other relevant local listings.

• Improve visibility for location-based searches.

• Manage local citations and ensure consistency of business information across platforms.

7. Content SEO

• Work closely with content writers to develop SEO-friendly content.

• Provide keyword briefs, content recommendations and optimization guidelines.

• Identify content gaps and opportunities for new landing pages, blogs and other organic-search assets.

8. Analytics & Reporting

• Monitor organic traffic, keyword rankings, conversions and lead-generation performance.

• Analyse Google Search Console and Google Analytics data.

• Prepare regular SEO performance reports with key insights and action plans.

• Track progress against defined SEO KPIs.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)

Performance will be evaluated based on measurable improvements in:

• Organic website traffic

• Keyword rankings and visibility

• Ranking of targeted/high-intent keywords

• Organic lead generation

• Search impressions and CTR

• Website indexing and technical health

• Quality and relevance of backlinks

• Local search visibility

• Organic conversion rate

• Timely execution of planned SEO activities

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• 2–5 years of hands-on SEO experience.

• Strong understanding of On-Page, Off-Page, Technical and Local SEO.

• Good knowledge of Google Search algorithms and SEO best practices.

• Hands-on experience with:
  

  • Google Search Console

  • Google Analytics / GA4

  • Google Business Profile

  • SEMrush / Ahrefs / similar SEO tools

  • Keyword research and SEO audit tools

• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.

• Good understanding of website structure, HTML basics and content optimization.

• Strong understanding of SEO reporting and performance measurement.

• Ability to work independently and coordinate with content, marketing and technology teams.
