Full-Time Live-Out Housemaid / Domestic Helper – Job Description

Position

Full-Time Housemaid / Domestic Helper

Working Hours

• Timing: 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM(12 Hours)

• Days: Monday to Sunday (7 days a week)

Job Responsibilities

The Housemaid will be responsible for the overall cleanliness, maintenance, and smooth functioning of the household. Duties include, but are not limited to:

Housekeeping

• Sweeping and mopping all rooms.

• Dusting furniture, appliances, and decorative items.

• Cleaning bathrooms and toilets.

• Cleaning the kitchen and maintaining hygiene.

• Washing utensils after meals.

• Making and changing beds.

• Organizing rooms, wardrobes, and household items.

• Cleaning windows, doors, balconies, and other household areas as required.

• Taking out garbage and maintaining cleanliness around the house.

Cooking

• Preparing breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks as instructed.

• Cutting vegetables and assisting with meal preparation.

• Maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen during and after cooking.

• Washing and organizing kitchen utensils.

• Following hygiene and food safety practices.

Laundry

• Washing, drying, folding, and ironing clothes.

• Washing bed sheets, towels, curtains, and other household linens.

• Organizing clothes and wardrobes.

Child Care

• Looking after the child under the family's guidance.

• Assisting with feeding, bathing, dressing, and changing clothes.

• Supervising playtime and ensuring the child's safety.

• Keeping the child's room, toys, and belongings clean and organized.

Home Care

• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout the house.

• Watering plants (if required).

• Assisting with receiving deliveries.

• Informing the employer about any household maintenance issues or shortages of essential supplies.

• Performing other reasonable household duties as assigned.

Expected Standards

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene at all times.

• Be punctual and reliable.

• Handle household items carefully.

• Maintain confidentiality and respect the family's privacy.

• Be polite, honest, and respectful to all family members.

• Avoid the use of mobile phones during working hours except in emergencies or with permission.

Attendance & Leave Policy

• The position requires attendance every day as per the agreed working schedule.

• Any leave must be requested in advance and is subject to the employer's approval.

• In case of an emergency, the employee should inform the employer as early as possible.

• Unauthorized leave or absence without prior approval or notice may result in a salary deduction on a proportionate basis and may lead to disciplinary action if repeated.

• Repeated absenteeism without approval may be treated as a breach of employment terms.

Salary

• Salary: As mutually agreed between the employer and the employee.

• Salary will be paid on the agreed payment date each month.

• The employee shall perform duties diligently and in accordance with the employer's reasonable instructions.

• The employer will provide a safe and respectful working environment.

• Both the employer and employee are expected to treat each other with dignity and respect.
