Reporting To: Facility Manager / Admin Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Housekeeping Staff is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation of patient rooms, common areas, offices, and hospital premises to ensure a safe and infection-free environment.

Key Responsibilities:

🧼 Cleaning & Maintenance:

·         Clean and sanitize patient rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and common areas

·         Sweep, mop, dust, and disinfect floors and surfaces regularly

·         Change bed linens as per schedule

·         Ensure proper cleaning of high-touch areas (door handles, railings, switches)

🧴 Infection Control:

·         Follow hospital hygiene and infection control protocols

·         Use cleaning chemicals safely and as instructed

·         Proper disposal of biomedical and general waste as per guidelines

🛏️ Patient Area Support:

·         Maintain cleanliness in IPD rooms and rehabilitation areas

·         Assist in preparing rooms for new admissions

·         Ensure adequate supply of cleaning materials

🗑️ Waste Management:

·         Segregate waste as per hospital policy

·         Dispose of garbage in designated areas

Requirements:

·         Basic education preferred

·         Prior experience in hospital/rehab housekeeping preferred

·         Knowledge of hygiene and sanitation standards

·         Physically fit and able to work in shifts

·         Disciplined, punctual, and responsible
