Senior Network Consultant - Cloud and Infrastructure Engineering

Sr Technical Lead-Cloud & Infra Engg Area(s) of responsibility Network Consultant As a Senior Network Consultant, the high-level responsibilities will be around supporting and optimizing enterprise network environments while ensuring high availability, security, and performance. Key Responsibilities & Qualifications: Possess 10+ years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer supporting large-scale enterprise networks. Demonstrated expertise in routing, switching, wireless controllers, firewalls, and load balancers. Ability to provide incident support, including troubleshooting and resolving critical network issues. Experience in developing network recommendations as per best practices and implementing improvements aligned with customer security standards and compliance requirements. Collaborate with stakeholders to assess the current network architecture and drive continuous optimization and modernization initiatives. Preferred Certifications (Nice to Have): CCNA / CCNP Below are some examples of the types of activities and responsibilities this individual would handle daily: Investigate and resolve complex technical issues related to the networking components of the J.D. Irving Limited infrastructure. Act as a point of contact and coordinate with vendors and external technical resources to effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues. Serve as the networking subject matter expert on a wide range of internal and customer‑facing technology projects, ensuring alignment with organizational standards. Optimize existing systems for performance and capacity, while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for all networking solutions. Lead and oversee day‑to‑day networking activities and contribute to long‑term operational planning. Work with tools and technologies such as Cisco Prime, Cisco Identity Services Engine, Cisco Catalyst, Junos Space, OpManager, CheckPoint, and A10/Netscaler load‑balancing platforms.
