IT Network Engineer – Job Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for an IT Network Engineer responsible for installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of network systems such as routers, switches, Wi-Fi access points, firewalls, CCTV networks, and server connectivity. The candidate should ensure smooth network operations and provide technical support for IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Install and configure network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points

Manage LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and internet connectivity

Troubleshoot network issues and provide timely resolution

Configure and maintain CCTV and surveillance network systems

Monitor network performance and security

Handle IP addressing, VLAN, VPN, and network security configuration

Support server, NVR/DVR, and storage connectivity

Coordinate with vendors and clients for technical support

Prepare technical reports, installation reports, and documentation

Perform preventive maintenance and system upgrades

Provide onsite and remote technical support

Required Skills:

Knowledge of TCP/IP networking

Router and switch configuration

Wi-Fi networking and troubleshooting

Firewall and VPN setup

Basic server and storage knowledge

CCTV networking knowledge

Understanding of network monitoring tools

Good communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Engineering, Electronics, or related field

Certifications like CCNA, HCIA, MTCNA, or equivalent preferred

1–5 years of experience in networking and IT infrastructure

Additional Requirements:

Ability to travel for onsite support and installations

Knowledge of structured cabling and rack management

Experience with brands like Cisco Systems, Hikvision, Ubiquiti, and MikroTik is an advantage
