Position Overview
The Education Counselor is responsible for guiding students in making informed academic and career decisions. This role involves counselling, assessing student needs, providing course information, and supporting the admissions process. The counselor acts as a key point of contact between students, parents, and the institution
Key Responsibilities
Provide academic and career counselling to students based on their interests, skills, and aspirations.
Guide students through the admission process, including course selection, eligibility, and documentation.
Conduct counselling sessions—one-on-one, telephonic, and online—to address student queries.
Maintain updated knowledge about various courses, institutes, universities, and career paths.
Assist in organizing seminars, workshops, and orientation programs. Follow up with leads generated through marketing activities and ensure timely conversions.
Maintain records of student interactions, enquiries, and admissions.
Support marketing and outreach initiatives such as school visits, education fairs, and webinars.
Collaborate with academic departments to ensure smooth onboarding of students.Achieve monthly and quarterly admission targets.
Required Skills & Competencies
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong counselling and listening abilities.
Good understanding of education systems, courses, and career trends.
Ability to handle student concerns with patience and professionalism.
Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
Sales or admission counselling experience (preferred).
