Operate, inspect, and maintain HT and LT panels, transformers, switchgear, bus ducts, and distribution boards as per OEM recommendations and safety standards.
Perform routine and breakdown maintenance of 500 kVA and above diesel generator sets, including start/stop operations, load management, fuel system checks, cooling system upkeep, and logbook maintenance.
Support chiller plant operation (central HVAC), including electrical panels, pumps, cooling towers, AHU/FAHU/VAV electrical controls, and interlocks with BMS where applicable.
Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance for building electrical systems: lighting, power circuits, earthing, UPS input/output feeders, cabling, and control wiring in IT floors, server rooms, and common areas.
Diagnose and rectify electrical faults using testing instruments (multimeter, megger, clamp meter, relay test kits etc.) ensuring minimal downtime and proper root‑cause analysis.
Monitor and record parameters of HT/LT feeders, DG sets, and chiller systems, and escalate abnormalities to the Engineer/Facility Manager with corrective action suggestions.
Ensure compliance with electrical safety practices: LOTO, use of PPE, insulation resistance testing, earth continuity checks, and adherence to relevant codes/standards.
Coordinate with OEM/service vendors during annual maintenance contracts (AMCs) for DG sets, HT/LT equipment, and chillers, and assist in testing, inspection, and commissioning activities.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, checklists, spares consumption, and fault history in logbooks or CMMS as per site procedures.
Provide technical support during power shutdowns, changeovers (utility–DG–UPS), new fit‑outs, and minor installation/modification work within the building.
