
Job Description: Education Counsellor (BPO)
Role Overview:
The Education Counsellor will be responsible for guiding and advising students on academic and
career planning via outbound calls to help them make informed decisions about their future and
enroll in suitable programs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct outbound calls to prospective students to explain course details, admission
requirements, and program benefits.
• Counsel students and parents on available academic and professional options, including
specific courses, majors, and programs that align with their goals.
• Qualify leads, understand learner needs and career aspirations, and provide customized
solutions through the organization's offerings.
• Follow up with prospects consistently to close leads and achieve daily, weekly, and monthly
admission targets.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions and progress using a CRM
system.
• Stay updated on educational trends, career opportunities, and institutional policies to
provide relevant and accurate information.
• Liaise with internal teams to ensure a smooth student experience and conversion rates.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Education: A Bachelor's degree in any stream.
• Experience: Prior experience in educational counselling, EdTech (Minimum-1 year
experience
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, an empathetic approach, active listening, and
patience to understand student needs and concerns are essential.
• Sales Orientation: A passion for sales, meeting targets, and delivering results in a fast-paced,
target-driven environment.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and familiarity with CRM
systems and educational software are often required.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify student issues and provide practical solutions and
guidance.
