Staff Cook

Position: Staff Cook
Department: Kitchen / Food Production

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare staff meals as per the daily menu and required quantity.

• Maintain consistent taste, quality, hygiene, and presentation of staff food.

• Ensure proper handling, storage, and preparation of ingredients.

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, cooking area, and equipment.

• Monitor food stock and inform the Senior Chef about required ingredients.

• Follow food safety, hygiene, and company standards at all times.

• Minimize food wastage and ensure proper utilization of ingredients.

• Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely preparation and service of staff meals.

• Maintain proper cleaning and sanitation practices.

• Follow instructions given by the Chef / Kitchen Manager.

Requirements

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Staff Cook or similar role.

• Experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality industry preferred.

• Good knowledge of Indian cuisine and staff meal preparation.

• Ability to handle bulk cooking efficiently.

• Knowledge of basic food hygiene and safety standards.

• Good teamwork and communication skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

• Willingness to work in shifts, weekends, and on holidays as required.

Preferred Skills

• Good knowledge of vegetarian and non-vegetarian food preparation.

• Ability to plan and prepare daily staff meals.

• Good understanding of portion control and food wastage management.

• Punctual, disciplined, and responsible approach to work.
