We are looking for a South Indian Commi 1 to join our team at River View Resort and prepare delicious meals for the guests. Key responsibility includes preparing and delivering high-quality dishes, setting up the menu, and delegating tasks to kitchen staff (If needed). The position offers an in-hand salary of ₹20000 - ₹25000.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare South Indian dishes such as dosa, idli, vada, uttapam, sambar, rasam, chutneys, upma, pongal, and other regional specialties.
Handle preparation, cooking, portioning, and presentation according to standard recipes.
Ensure proper mise en place before every service.
Maintain consistency in taste, texture, portion size, and presentation.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Monitor the quality and freshness of ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the assigned workstation.
Follow FIFO and proper food-storage procedures.
Minimize food wastage and control portion costs.
Assist the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef during daily kitchen operations.
Follow all food-safety, hygiene, and kitchen SOPs.
Support other kitchen sections when required.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen throughout the shift.
