A Kitchen Helper supports the kitchen team in maintaining cleanliness, preparing ingredients, and assisting chefs/cooks in daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the chef and cooks in basic food preparation
Wash, peel, cut, and chop vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients
Help in preparing sandwich fillings, sauces, beverages, and snack items
Arrange and store ingredients in the refrigerator and storage area
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen at all times
Wash utensils, plates, knives, cutting boards, and kitchen equipment
Keep kitchen counters, shelves, and workstations clean
Support in plating and packing takeaway orders
Refill stock items such as bread, sauces, disposable cups, tissues, and containers
Dispose of kitchen waste and maintain proper garbage segregation
Assist in receiving and checking raw materials and stock deliveries
Follow food safety and hygiene standards
Support the team during busy hours and rush periods
Perform any other kitchen-related duties assigned by the chef or café manager
