We are looking for an experienced and passionate Café Cook to join our kitchen team in Jatni, Bhubaneswar. The cook will be responsible for preparing a variety of dishes — including main course meals, pasta, pizza, and basic Chinese items — maintaining high standards of taste, hygiene, and presentation.
Prepare and cook a wide range of menu items, including:
Main Course: Indian, Continental, or Fusion dishes
Pasta & Pizza: sauces, dough, toppings, and baking
Chinese Basics: fried rice, noodles, manchurian, chili paneer, soups
Café Menu: sandwiches, wraps, burgers, snacks, breakfast dishes
Ensure consistent taste, portion, and presentation in every dish.
Follow all recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards set by the café.
Maintain proper food safety, hygiene, and sanitation in the kitchen.
Keep kitchen, cooking areas, and equipment clean and organized.
Sanitize workstations and utensils regularly.
Store food materials properly with correct labeling and FIFO method.
Work closely with service staff for smooth and timely order dispatch.
Support team members during rush hours and maintain a professional attitude.
Communicate effectively and contribute to a positive kitchen environment.
Check daily stock and report shortages or equipment issues to the supervisor.
Handle raw materials efficiently and minimize wastage.
Assist in receiving and organizing supplies.
Proven experience as a cook, commis, or line chef in a café or restaurant.
Skilled in Main Course, Pasta, Pizza, and basic Chinese items.
Strong understanding of food hygiene and kitchen operations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple orders.
Flexibility to work morning/evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts / Hotel Management preferred.
Prior experience in a multi-cuisine café or cloud kitchen is a plus.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Able to lift up to 15–20 kg occasionally.
