For a Tea Maker / Chai Maker at a tea stall, the key responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities – Tea Maker
Prepare tea according to the standard recipe and taste.
Maintain consistent tea quality, strength, sweetness, and temperature.
Prepare different varieties of tea such as regular, ginger, elaichi, masala, and lemon tea.
Measure milk, water, tea leaves, sugar, and spices properly to control cost and wastage.
Keep tea-making equipment, utensils, stove, and work area clean.
Ensure proper food hygiene and safe handling of milk and other ingredients.
Prepare tea quickly during peak hours and manage multiple orders efficiently.
Monitor availability of milk, sugar, tea leaves, cups, and other ingredients.
Minimize wastage of raw materials.
Serve tea in clean cups and maintain proper presentation.
Coordinate with the cashier/server for customer orders.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the shift.
Follow safety procedures while handling gas stove, hot liquids, and utensils.
Report shortage of ingredients or equipment problems to the owner/manager.
Help with basic cleaning and closing duties at the end of the shift.
Maintain consistent portion size so that cost per cup remains controlled.
Handle customer requests politely and professionally.
Follow the stall's recipe, quality standards, and operating procedures.
