Job Title: Commis Chef – Continental

Job Summary:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Continental Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. The candidate will assist in the preparation and cooking of continental dishes while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and kitchen safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and cooking of continental cuisine dishes.
Follow recipes and presentation specifications as set by the Head Chef.
Prepare ingredients such as chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and portioning meats.
Ensure all food is prepared and served according to hygiene and safety standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation.
Assist senior chefs during service and support kitchen operations.
Monitor stock levels and inform senior chefs about shortages.
Ensure proper storage of food items and ingredients.
Follow kitchen policies, procedures, and food safety regulations.
Requirements:
Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts / Hotel Management preferred.
1–2 years of experience in continental cuisine or a similar role.
Basic knowledge of continental cooking techniques and ingredients.
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
Preferred Skills:
Basic knowledge of sauces, pasta, grills, and continental plating.
Time management and attention to detail.
Willingness to learn and grow in the culinary field.
