Roles & Responsibilities
Prepare and process ingredients, including vegetables, meats, sauces, stocks, and marinades, as per recipes.
Assist in preparing Continental dishes, including pasta, sandwiches, salads, soups, grills, and other menu items.
Set up and organize the workstation before service (mise en place).
Cook and plate dishes according to standard recipes, portion sizes, and presentation guidelines.
Maintain consistency in taste, quality, portion control, and food presentation.
Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients using FIFO principles.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen workstations, equipment, and utensils.
Follow food safety, personal hygiene, and temperature-control standards.
Monitor ingredient availability and inform the chef about stock requirements.
Minimize food wastage and maintain proper inventory practices.
Coordinate with the Head Chef, Sous Chef, and other kitchen team members during service.
Follow kitchen SOPs and ensure timely preparation of orders.
