We are looking for a skilled and passionate Continental Cook to prepare high-quality Continental dishes while maintaining consistent taste, presentation, and hygiene standards. The ideal candidate works well in a fast-paced kitchen and takes pride in quality food.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook Continental dishes such as pasta, risotto, grills, steaks, soups, sauces, salads, and baked items as per standard recipes

Prepare mise en place (chopping, marinating, sauces, stocks) before service

Ensure consistent taste, portion size, and plating presentation

Operate and maintain kitchen equipment such as grill, oven, fryer, and salamander

Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards (FSSAI/HACCP)

Monitor stock levels and inform the Head Chef of requirements

Minimize wastage through proper storage, labelling, and FIFO practices

Maintain a clean and organized workstation at all times

Coordinate with the kitchen team and service staff for smooth operations

Assist in developing new menu items and daily specials when required

Required Qualifications and Skills

Diploma/certificate in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management (preferred, not mandatory)

2-5 years of experience as a Commis/Cook/CDP in Continental cuisine

Strong knowledge of Continental cooking techniques, sauces, and ingredients

Good knife skills and understanding of plating

Ability to work under pressure during peak hours

Basic understanding of food costing and inventory

Team player with a positive attitude and good communication skills

Working Conditions

Rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays

Standing for long hours in a hot kitchen environment
