Job Description

Continental Chef (Commi I & II)

We are urgently looking for experienced Continental Chefs (Commi I & II) for a reputed hotel/restaurant in Siliguri. Candidates with hands-on experience in continental cuisine and hotel kitchen operations are encouraged to apply immediately.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook Continental dishes as per standard recipes and quality norms

• Assist in food preparation, plating, and presentation

• Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards (HACCP preferred)

• Handle daily kitchen operations under the guidance of CDP / Sous Chef

• Ensure proper storage of raw materials and FIFO method

• Coordinate with team members during peak service hours

• Minimize food wastage and follow cost control practices

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience:

• Commi II: Minimum 1–3 years in Continental kitchen

• Commi I: Minimum 2–5 years in Continental / multi-cuisine kitchen

• Good knowledge of Continental cooking techniques & sauces

• Experience in hotel, café, fine-dining restaurant, or cloud kitchen

• Ability to work in rotational shifts

• Team player with a positive attitude

Qualification

• Diploma / Certificate in Hotel Management / Culinary Arts preferred

• Relevant kitchen experience can be considered in place of formal education

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: ₹14,000 – ₹22,000 per month (Negotiable based on experience)
