We are looking for a Continental Chef with experience in preparing vegetarian continental food, including pizzas, pastas and baked dishes. The ideal candidate should be confident in managing kitchen preparation and service while maintaining consistent taste, quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook vegetarian continental dishes according to recipes and quality standards.
Make pizzas, pastas, sauces, dressings and baked items.
Plan daily preparation and keep ingredients ready for smooth, timely service.
Maintain consistent taste, portion sizes and plating across orders.
Follow food hygiene, safe storage and kitchen cleanliness practices.
Monitor ingredient freshness, track stock requirements and minimise food wastage.
Accommodate dietary preferences and communicate special requirements or allergens accurately.
Coordinate with the kitchen and service teams during busy hours.
Skills & Requirements
2–4 years of relevant cooking experience, preferably in a café or restaurant.
Strong practical knowledge of vegetarian continental cuisine, pizza and pasta preparation.
Experience with baking and food presentation.
Understanding of food safety and basic dietary or nutritional requirements.
Ability to manage multiple orders efficiently without compromising quality.
A dependable, organised approach and willingness to work with a team.
