Assist the CDP and senior kitchen team in preparing Continental dishes.
Prepare ingredients through proper mise en place, including cutting, chopping, marination, portioning and basic preparations.
Prepare and cook dishes according to standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
Handle basic Continental cooking techniques such as grilling, sautéing, roasting, baking and sauce preparation.
Maintain consistency in taste, portion size and presentation.
Ensure all food products are stored properly and labelled with appropriate dates.
Follow FIFO/FEFO practices and minimize food wastage.
Maintain proper hygiene and cleanliness of the workstation, equipment and kitchen area.
Follow all food safety and hygiene standards, including proper handling and storage of raw and cooked food.
Check the quality and freshness of ingredients before use and report any issues to the senior chef.
Assist with daily kitchen preparation, service and closing activities.
Coordinate effectively with other kitchen team members during busy service periods.
Follow instructions from the CDP, Sous Chef and Kitchen In-Charge.
Support stock counting and inform the senior chef about low-stock or required ingredients.
Ensure all kitchen equipment and utensils are used safely and maintained properly.
Follow company policies, kitchen SOPs and grooming standards.
Maintain discipline, punctuality and professional conduct at all times.
