About the Role

Bloom is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Chinese Commi to join our culinary team. The candidate will assist in the preparation and presentation of Chinese cuisine while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and kitchen safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing Chinese dishes as per standard recipes and presentation guidelines.

• Prepare ingredients including vegetables, sauces, meats, and other mise en place.

• Support the Chef and senior kitchen team during daily operations.

• Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.

• Follow proper food handling, storage, and hygiene practices.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation and kitchen.

• Ensure proper usage and maintenance of kitchen equipment.

• Monitor food quality and report any issues to the senior chef.

• Follow kitchen SOPs, food safety standards, and hotel policies.

• Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining quality standards.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, or commercial kitchen is preferred.

• Knowledge of Chinese cuisine and basic cooking techniques.

• Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.

• Ability to work as part of a team.

• Good communication and coordination skills.

• Willingness to learn and take responsibility.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
