Responsibilities: 

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes in accordance with recipes and standards.

• Ensure all food is prepared and cooked to the required quality and presentation standards.

• Support the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef with mise en place for their section.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.

• Follow food safety and hygiene regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.

• Ensure all kitchen tools and equipment are cleaned and sanitized after use.

• Assist senior chefs with their duties, including plating, garnishing, and portioning of food.

• Participate in cooking tasks during service hours under supervision.

• Help in stock rotation and storage of ingredients and products.

• Ensure ingredients are stored correctly according to safety standards.

• Continuously learn and improve culinary skills and techniques under the supervision of senior kitchen staff.

• Attend training sessions or workshops provided by the restaurant

Requirements: 

• Basic culinary qualifications or a passion for cooking.

• Previous experience in a similar role is a plus but not mandatory.

• Strong interest in developing culinary skills and learning about kitchen operations.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Team-oriented with good communication skills.

• Attention to detail and eagerness to improve and learn.

• Flexible working hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

• Physically demanding role requiring standing for long periods and lifting kitchen equipment.
