Job Title: Commi Chefs

Reports To: Chef de Partie / Sous Chef / Head Chef
Job Summary:
The Commi Chefs supports the kitchen team in preparing high-quality food while maintaining hygiene, consistency, and efficiency. This is an entry-level culinary role designed to develop skills under supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes as per standard recipes
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations
Follow instructions from senior chefs (Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, Head Chef)
Ensure all ingredients are prepped and ready (mise en place)
Maintain food quality, taste, and presentation standards
Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations
Store ingredients properly and manage stock rotation (FIFO)
Assist in receiving and checking deliveries
Minimize wastage and handle kitchen equipment properly
Support the team during busy service hours
Skills & Requirements:
Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen operations
Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
Good time management and organizational skills
Physical stamina to stand for long hours
Working Conditions:
Rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays
