Job Opportunity: Commis 1
We are looking for an experienced and skilled Commis 1 to join our culinary team in Kalyan. This role is designed for a professional ready to take on more responsibility in the kitchen, ensuring high-quality food production and supporting the senior culinary staff.
Role Overview
Location: Kalyan
Job Timing: Rotational 9-hour shifts (e.g., 11 AM – 9 PM, 3 PM – 12 AM, 5 PM – 2 AM)
Working Days: 6 days per week (Rotational off between Monday and Thursday)
Key Responsibilities
Section Management: Oversee specific kitchen sections and ensure smooth operations during service.
Food Preparation: Handle advanced food preparation, including complex marinades, sauces, and garnishes.
Quality Control: Ensure all dishes meet the established standards of taste, presentation, and portion control.
Team Support: Guide and assist Commis 2, Commis 3, and Stewards in their daily tasks.
Inventory & Hygiene: Monitor stock levels, minimize wastage, and maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards (SOPs).
Workstation Maintenance: Ensure workstations are clean, organized, and fully equipped before service begins.
Requirements
Experience: 2–4 years of experience in a professional kitchen (Commis 2 or similar level).
Education: Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts preferred.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment.
Soft Skills: Excellent time management, leadership potential, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
