About the Role

Unvind Cafe is looking for a skilled and passionate Commi I Chef to join its kitchen team. The ideal candidate should have sound culinary fundamentals, hands-on experience in food preparation, and the ability to maintain consistency, quality, and hygiene in a fast-paced café environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute dishes according to the café’s recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.

• Handle daily mise-en-place, food preparation, and station setup before service.

• Maintain consistency in taste, quality, portioning, and plating.

• Ensure proper food storage, labelling, stock rotation, and FIFO practices.

• Follow food safety, kitchen hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.

• Monitor ingredient availability and inform the senior chef about shortages or replenishment requirements.

• Minimise food wastage and ensure the efficient use of ingredients.

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the assigned workstation and kitchen equipment.

• Coordinate with the Sous Chef, Chef de Partie, and other kitchen team members to ensure smooth service.

• Assist in developing new dishes, improving recipes, and maintaining kitchen standards.

• Follow kitchen schedules, instructions, and standard operating procedures.
  

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a café, restaurant, or hospitality setup.

• Good knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, food preparation, and plating.

• Ability to manage an assigned kitchen section independently during service.

• Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and storage practices.

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and coordinate with the kitchen team.

• Discipline, punctuality, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.

• A culinary qualification or relevant professional training is preferred.

• It is a Full Time కుక్ / చెఫ్ job for candidates with 1 - 5 years of experience.
