Chinese Cook

• Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Chinese dishes according to established recipes and quality standards.

• Perform food preparation tasks, including cutting, marinating, seasoning, and portioning ingredients.

• Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes of all dishes.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations and equipment.

• Monitor food inventory and assist in ordering supplies when needed.

• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations at all times.

• Minimize food waste and ensure proper storage of ingredients.

• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service.

• Assist in menu development and suggest new Chinese dishes when required.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Proven experience as a Chinese Cook, Chinese Chef, or similar role.

• Strong knowledge of Chinese cooking techniques, ingredients, and regional cuisines.

• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.

• Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.

• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Good teamwork and communication skills.

• Culinary certification or relevant training is an advantage.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in preparing Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, or other regional Chinese cuisines.

• Knowledge of wok cooking, dim sum preparation, and traditional Chinese culinary methods.

• Ability to train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
