Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and passionate cook/chef to join our event management team. The candidate will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality food for various events, including corporate functions, weddings, private parties, exhibitions, and other special occasions.

The ideal candidate should have experience in bulk cooking, event catering, menu preparation, food presentation, and maintaining hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare and cook food according to event menus, recipes, and client requirements.

2. Handle bulk food preparation for weddings, corporate events, parties, and other functions.

3. Assist in menu planning and food selection based on event requirements.

4. Ensure food quality, taste, freshness, and presentation standards.

5. Coordinate with the event and catering operations team regarding food quantities and timelines.

6. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and food preparation areas.

7. Ensure proper storage, handling, and preservation of food items.

8. Monitor kitchen inventory and communicate requirements for raw materials and supplies.

9. Minimise food wastage and maintain portion control.

10. Ensure timely preparation and dispatch of food to event venues.

11. Follow food safety regulations and company standards.

12. Work efficiently under pressure during large-scale events.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience as a cook / chef in hotels, restaurants, catering companies, or event management companies.

• Knowledge of Indian, Continental, Chinese, or other cuisines.

• Experience in bulk cooking and large-scale food preparation.

• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen management.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Good teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.

• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours depending on event schedules.

Experience

• Cook: 1–3 years of relevant experience.

• Chef: 3–5 years of relevant experience.

• Experience in event catering or outdoor catering will be an added advantage.

Salary

As per industry standards and candidate experience.
