Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Café Chef to manage daily kitchen operations and prepare high-quality food items as per café standards. The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of café-style, continental and quick-service food preparation.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and present food items according to recipes and quality standards.
Handle daily kitchen operations, mise en place and food preparation.
Prepare sandwiches, burgers, pasta, pizza, salads, snacks and other café-style dishes.
Maintain consistency in taste, presentation and portion control.
Ensure proper food hygiene, sanitation and kitchen safety practices.
Monitor inventory, minimize food wastage and maintain stock levels.
Coordinate with service staff to ensure timely order preparation.
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, workstations and storage areas.
Assist in menu planning and development of new dishes.
Follow food cost and portion-control guidelines.
Candidate Requirements
Experience: 2–5 years in a café, restaurant or similar kitchen environment.
Good knowledge of café and continental cuisine.
Strong cooking, presentation and time-management skills.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple orders.
Team player with good communication skills.
