# Job Description – Chaat Cook

Position: Chaat Cook / Chaat Chef

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Chaat Cook who can prepare a variety of popular Indian street-food and chaat items with consistent taste, quality, hygiene, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and serve •Golgappe / Pani Puri•• with different fillings, chutneys, and flavored pani.

Prepare various types of •Chaat••, including popular Indian chaat varieties.

Prepare •Aloo Tikki•• and other tikki-based preparations.

Prepare •Bhalla Papdi / Dahi Bhalla Papdi•• with proper chutneys, curd, spices, and garnishing.

Prepare and maintain •green chutney, sweet/tamarind chutney, spicy chutney, pani, and other chaat accompaniments••.

• Ensure consistent taste, portion size, and presentation of all items.

• Maintain proper hygiene and cleanliness of the workstation, utensils, and kitchen area.

• Ensure ingredients are fresh and stored properly.

• Manage preparation and mise en place before service.

• Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.

• Maintain minimum wastage and use ingredients efficiently.

• Handle busy service hours efficiently while maintaining food quality and speed.

• Coordinate with the kitchen team for smooth day-to-day operations.

### Required Skills & Experience

Previous experience as a •Chaat Cook / Chaat Chef•• preferred.

Strong knowledge of •Golgappe, Chaat, Tikki, Bhalla Papdi and related Indian street-food items••.

• Ability to prepare chutneys, pani, fillings, curd preparations, and chaat toppings.

• Good understanding of Indian spices and flavour combinations.

Ability to maintain •consistent taste and quality••.

• Good speed and efficiency during peak hours.

• Knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food safety practices.

• Ability to work independently as well as with a team.

### Preferred Candidate

Experience working in a •café, restaurant, food outlet, or street-food/QSR setup••.

• Reliable, punctual, hardworking, and disciplined.

• Good attitude and willingness to learn and adapt to the outlet's recipes and standards.

• Ability to maintain cleanliness and organized food preparation.
