The Commis II / Commis III – Bread Department is responsible for assisting in the daily production of breads and baked goods as per Theobroma’s quality, hygiene, and consistency standards. The role involves preparation, baking, handling of ingredients, and maintaining cleanliness in the bakery.
Assist in the preparation and baking of breads (artisan breads, loaves, rolls, buns, etc.)
Follow standardized recipes, portioning, and production schedules
Support senior bakers in dough mixing, shaping, proofing, and baking
Ensure correct usage of bakery equipment such as mixers, ovens, and proofers
Maintain Theobroma’s food quality, taste, and presentation standards
Follow strict food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines (FSSAI standards)
Ensure cleanliness of workstations, tools, and equipment
Proper storage and labeling of raw materials and finished products
Assist in receiving, storing, and checking raw materials
Minimize wastage by following proper handling and production methods
Report shortages, spoilage, or quality issues to supervisors
Work efficiently as part of the bakery team
Follow instructions from seniors and supervisors
Maintain punctuality, discipline, and professional conduct
Basic culinary or bakery training preferred
Hotel Management / Bakery course is an advantage (not mandatory)
Commis III: 0–1 year experience in bakery/bread production
Commis II: 1–3 years experience in a professional bakery or QSR/FMCG bakery
Basic knowledge of bread making and bakery ingredients
Willingness to learn and adapt to Theobroma’s processes
Ability to work in shifts and stand for long hours
Good hygiene practices and attention to detail
