We are looking for an experienced and passionate Head Barista to lead daily coffee operations, maintain beverage quality standards, and manage café inventory efficiently. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, hands-on coffee expertise, and experience in stock and raw material management.
Key Responsibilities
Coffee & Beverage Operations
Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, beverages, and café drinks consistently.
Maintain beverage presentation and taste standards.
Develop and improve coffee recipes, seasonal beverages, and presentation styles.
Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of coffee machines, grinders, and workstations.
Team Management
Supervise and guide baristas and café staff during shifts.
Train staff on coffee preparation, customer service, hygiene, and SOPs.
Create shift schedules and ensure smooth daily operations.
Maintain discipline, teamwork, and service efficiency.
Inventory & Stock Management
Handle complete inventory management for café operations.
Monitor daily stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, disposables, and other raw materials.
Maintain stock registers and inventory reports accurately.
Conduct regular stock audits and minimize wastage.
Ensure proper storage and FIFO (First In First Out) practices.
Raw Material Ordering
Manage ordering and procurement of all café raw materials and supplies.
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for timely deliveries.
Maintain optimum stock levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.
Track purchase quantities, pricing, and usage trends.
Operations & Compliance
Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
Monitor machine maintenance and report repair requirements.
Handle customer concerns professionally and maintain service quality.
Support management in improving café efficiency and profitability.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Senior Barista or Head Barista.
Strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and café operations.
Experience in inventory management and raw material procurement.
Leadership and team management skills.
Good communication and customer service abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of specialty coffee and latte art.
Basic understanding of costing and stock reporting.
Experience using POS or inventory software.
