We're looking for Barista at Mara Coffee & Roasters, HSR Layout : Full - Time
We don’t need a barista who can just pour a nice latte. We need the soul of the cafe. The face of the place. The one who remembers the regulars names and their coffee order. We are looking for a master of precision and consistency. We need a leader who is passionate about coffee and ruthless about efficiency. You know beans, their origins, and their unique stories. You're not just serving a drink; you're serving a journey. The position offers an in-hand salary of ₹18,000 - ₹25,000.
Key Responsibilities: As a barista, your primary responsibilities include:
● Interest in redefining what the cafe experience can be.
● Helping out with initial Menu designing, experimenting with a variety of coffee drinks. ● Designing a daily opening & closing checklist with productive Bar Flow.
● Prepare and serve coffee, tea, or other beverages that adhere to quality standards and maintain cleanliness of service and seating areas.
● Support in the smooth work flow between the Back-of-House: dish, prep, storage, kitchen and Front-of-House: queue, service bar, seating.
● Providing excellent customer service by explaining the origin, taste of the beans, and communicating the roasting methods clearly to customers.
● Operating coffee brewing equipment like grinders, scales, timers, water towers, point of sale systems, and mobile payment systems.
● Keeping equipment in "museum quality" condition, clean and maintained.
● Promptly addressing customer service issues or guest needs and referring to management if and when necessary.
● Maintaining daily logs of inventories in the brew section and communicating clearly with management at all times for the restock.
● Creating authentic content showing the people behind the bar. Have a bit of fun engaging with customers!
Slightly modify recipes to meet customers’ needs and requests (example: No dairy, exclude nuts).
Check the freshness of food and discard out-of-date items.
Job Requirements:
The minimum qualification for this role is 1 - 3 years of experience. Familiarity with coffee making techniques (advance & non-traditional), recipes, and sanitation regulations are ideal for the position. The role requires excellent time management and leadership skills.
