Job Title: Barista
Job Summary
A Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages (coffee, tea, and specialty drinks) while delivering excellent customer service. The role also includes maintaining cleanliness, handling cash, and ensuring a great customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and serve beverages such as coffee, espresso, cappuccino, latte, and cold drinks
Take customer orders accurately and politely
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the work area, equipment, and seating area
Follow standard recipes and presentation guidelines
Handle billing, POS operations, and cash transactions
Check stock levels and inform the supervisor for replenishment
Ensure proper use and maintenance of coffee machines and equipment
Upsell products (add-ons, combos, bakery items, etc.)
Follow company SOPs, safety, and hygiene standards
Skills & Requirements
Basic knowledge of coffee preparation (training can be provided)
Good communication and customer service skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Team player with a positive attitude
Basic math skills for billing and cash handling
Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays
Qualifications
Minimum: 10th / 12th Pass
Prior experience in café, QSR, or restaurant is preferred (not mandatory for fresher)
