Bakery Chef

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Baker & Confectionery Specialist to join our team at Lulu Hypermarket, Bengaluru. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality baked goods and confectionery items while maintaining hygiene, consistency, and presentation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and bake a variety of products including breads, cakes, pastries, and desserts

• Design and decorate cakes and confectionery items as per customer requirements

• Ensure consistency in product quality, taste, and presentation

• Monitor baking ingredients, inventory, and stock levels

• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards at all times

• Follow standard recipes and preparation methods

• Coordinate with the retail team for display and replenishment of bakery items

• Ensure proper storage and handling of raw materials and finished products

Requirements:

• Minimum 1–5 years of experience in baking and confectionery (Retail / Bakery background preferred)

• Knowledge of baking techniques, cake decoration, and dessert preparation

• Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards

• Creativity and attention to detail

• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment

• Good teamwork and communication skills

Education:

• Diploma / Certification in Bakery, Confectionery, or Hotel Management (preferred)
