WE ARE HIRING – ASSISTANT COOK

Location: Sunguvarchatram, Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu
Position: Assistant Cook

Job Summary

We are looking for a hardworking and responsible Assistant Cook to support our kitchen team in daily food preparation and cooking activities. The candidate should have basic cooking knowledge, good hygiene practices, and the ability to work efficiently as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Main Cook/Chef in daily food preparation and cooking.

• Wash, peel, cut and chop vegetables and other ingredients.

• Prepare ingredients according to the daily menu and instructions.

• Assist in preparing South Indian/Indian dishes as required.

• Maintain proper taste, quality and portion standards.

• Keep the kitchen, cooking area, utensils and equipment clean and hygienic.

• Properly store food ingredients and kitchen supplies.

• Check the freshness and quality of ingredients before use.

• Assist with stock arrangement and inform the senior cook about shortages.

• Follow food safety, hygiene and kitchen safety procedures.

• Support the kitchen team during busy meal/service hours.

• Minimize food wastage and maintain cleanliness throughout the shift.

• Perform other kitchen-related duties assigned by the Chef/Supervisor.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience as an Assistant Cook/Kitchen Helper is preferred.

• Freshers with basic cooking knowledge may also apply.

• Knowledge of basic food preparation and Indian cooking is an advantage.

• Good understanding of kitchen hygiene and cleanliness.

• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

• Physically fit and comfortable standing for extended periods.

• Punctual, hardworking and responsible attitude.
