BooksWagon is a leading online bookstore in India, offering a vast collection of over 40 million books across diverse categories such as fiction, non-fiction, academic textbooks, and more. We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Content Writer to join our team in Noida. The ideal candidate will have a passion for books and the ability to craft compelling narratives that engage our community of readers.

Key Responsibilities

• Content Creation: Draft high-quality, engaging content for our website, including product descriptions, blog posts, and author features.

• Marketing Copy: Write persuasive copy for social media posts, email newsletters, and promotional banners to boost customer engagement.

• SEO Optimization: Conduct keyword research and implement SEO best practices to improve organic visibility and search engine rankings.

• Quality Assurance: Edit and proofread all content to ensure it is free of errors and aligns strictly with the BooksWagon brand voice and guidelines.

• Research: Stay updated on literary trends, new book releases, and publishing industry news to provide relevant and timely content.

• Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and design teams to create cohesive campaigns and visually appealing layouts.

Requirements & Skills

• Writing Excellence: A strong command of the English language with the ability to write in various tones, from professional to conversational.

• Industry Knowledge: A genuine interest in books and a good understanding of different genres (fiction, academic, manga, etc.).

• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS) and basic digital marketing tools.

• SEO Skills: Proven experience in writing SEO-optimized content that ranks well on search engines.

• Detail-Oriented: Exceptional proofreading skills with a "zero-tolerance" approach to grammatical errors or branding inconsistencies.

• Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.

• Experience: 0–2 years of experience in content writing or copywriting (experience in the publishing or e-commerce sector is a plus).

• Portfolio: A portfolio of published articles, blogs, or creative writing samples.
