The Assistant Manager Operations – Operations is responsible for the effective management, manpower handling, maintenance, and operation of facilities to ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant working environment. The role involves overseeing building services, vendor management, operational budgets, safety compliance, and continuous improvement of facility operations.
Facility Operations & Maintenance
Oversee day-to-day facility operations, including sites manpower
Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance is carried out as per schedules
Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and overall upkeep of the premises
Vendor & Contract Management
Manage third-party vendors for security, housekeeping, maintenance, landscaping, and other services
Negotiate contracts, monitor SLAs, and ensure service quality
Conduct regular vendor performance reviews
Health, Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and safety requirements (fire, electrical, environmental, labor laws, etc.)
Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments
Manage emergency preparedness, drills, and incident response
Space & Infrastructure Management
Plan and optimize space utilization
Coordinate office moves, renovations, and minor projects
Ensure facilities support business and operational needs
Budgeting & Cost Control
Prepare and manage facility operations budgets
Track expenses and implement cost-saving initiatives
Approve invoices and ensure accurate financial reporting
People & Stakeholder Management
Lead and supervise facility staff and contractors
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to address facility-related requirements
Handle employee concerns related to workplace infrastructure and services
Reporting & Documentation
Maintain records of maintenance, compliance, and contracts
Prepare operational reports, dashboards, and MIS
Recommend improvements for efficiency and sustainability
