KYC Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented KYC Analyst to join our merchant operations team. You will be the first line of defense against financial crime, managing the end-to-end verification and due diligence process for new merchants. You will review business documents, evaluate risk levels, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless and compliant onboarding experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Documentation Verification: Review, and verify Know Your Business (KYB) and Know Your Customer (KYC) documents.

• Risk Assessment: Conduct background checks, check negative media, and screen for PEPs (Politically Exposed Persons) to evaluate and classify the merchant’s risk profile.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Legal, and Risk teams to resolve discrepancies and expedite merchant activations.

• SLA Management: Ensure all onboarding TAT (Turnaround Time) are met while maintaining high accuracy and quality control standards.
  

  Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: 1+ year of experience in KYC/AML, risk management, or banking operations, specifically within the payments or fintech domain.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of local compliance guidelines (e.g., RBI regulations in India) and AML/KYC frameworks.

  • Analytical Skills: Excellent attention to detail, capable of conducting investigations and identifying fraudulent or suspicious patterns.

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively handle merchant queries and coordinate with internal stakeholders.

  • Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in any Stream.
