Job Title: Data Entry Operator (DEO) - Operations & MIS
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Data Entry Operator to manage and maintain our operational database. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that all daily transport data, from dispatch to delivery, is accurately recorded in our Transportation Management System (TMS). Your work will directly support our MIS reporting, billing accuracy, and overall fleet efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Documentation & Entry: Accurately input Lorry Receipts (LRs), Proof of Delivery (PODs), e-way bills, and trip sheets into the system on a daily basis.
Fleet Financials: Record daily vehicle logs, fuel consumption metrics, toll expenses, and driver advance/settlement records.
Data Verification: Cross-check physical dispatch documents against system entries to identify and rectify any discrepancies before closing daily logs.
MIS Support: Assist operations managers by extracting data and generating routine reports on fleet utilization, turnaround times (TAT), and pending deliveries.
Record Archiving: Organize and store physical and digital documents securely, ensuring they are easily retrievable for operational audits or client inquiries.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Experience: Proven experience as a Data Entry Operator or similar administrative role, ideally within the logistics, supply chain, or transport sector.
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in MS Office (particularly Excel for MIS tasks) and comfortable adapting to custom Transportation Management Systems (TMS) or ERP software.
Speed & Accuracy: Excellent typing speed (minimum 40 WPM) with a high degree of numerical and text accuracy.
Attention to Detail: Strong ability to spot missing information or errors in source documents, such as mismatched invoices or missing signatures on PODs.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional computer training or certification is a plus.
