The Interior Designer is responsible for creating functional, aesthetically pleasing interior spaces that meet client needs, budgets, and safety standards. This role involves space planning, design development, material selection, and coordination with clients, contractors, and vendors.
Meet with clients to understand design goals, preferences, and budget requirements
Develop design concepts, mood boards, and space plans
Prepare drawings, layouts, and 3D visualizations using design software
Select materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and accessories
Coordinate with architects, contractors, and vendors during project execution
Ensure designs comply with building codes, safety regulations, and accessibility standards
Prepare cost estimates, schedules, and specifications
Oversee installation and styling to ensure design accuracy
Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design or related field
Proven experience as an Interior Designer or similar role
Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit, etc.)
Strong creativity, space planning, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and presentation abilities
Knowledge of materials, furnishings, lighting, and color theory
Professional certification or license (where applicable)
Experience in residential, commercial, or hospitality projects
Knowledge of sustainable and ergonomic design principles
Office-based with regular site visits
Collaboration with design teams and construction professionals
