Job Description – Trainee Interior Designer

Position: Trainee Interior Designer

Location: Wadgaon Sheri, Pune

Job Summary

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Trainee Interior Designer who is willing to learn and develop practical skills in interior design, drawings, materials, and site execution. The candidate will work closely with senior designers and the project team to support ongoing residential and commercial interior projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Interior Designers in developing design concepts and layouts.

• Prepare and modify 2D drawings, furniture layouts, and working drawings.

• Assist in preparing 3D views and presentations as required.

• Support the team in material selection, finishes, colours, furniture, and accessories.

• Visit project sites to understand site conditions and execution requirements.

• Coordinate with the design and site execution teams for smooth project implementation.

• Assist in taking site measurements and preparing drawings based on actual site conditions.

• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers under the guidance of senior team members.

• Maintain and update drawings, design documents, and project records.

• Ensure design details are accurately communicated to the execution team.

• Learn and follow company standards, design processes, and project timelines.

• Perform other design-related tasks assigned by the Senior Designer / Interior Department Head.

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of Interior Design principles and space planning.

• Knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred.

• Basic knowledge of 3D software / SketchUp / 3ds Max will be an advantage.

• Good understanding of materials, finishes, furniture, and fixtures.

• Basic knowledge of MS Office.

• Good communication and coordination skills.

• Creative approach with attention to detail.

• Willingness to learn and work on live projects.

• Ability to work as part of a team.

Educational Qualification

• Diploma / Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field.

Ideal Candidate

• Freshers or candidates with 0–1 year of relevant experience.

• Candidates with a strong interest in interior design and site execution.

• Should be proactive, sincere, disciplined, and willing to learn.

• Should be comfortable with office work as well as project site visits.
