Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented, precise, and highly skilled Draftsman with expertise in Interior Design and Architecture to join our technical team in Delhi. In this role, you will be responsible for converting design concepts, sketches, and site surveys into comprehensive, accurate technical drawings, construction documentation, and shop drawings necessary for execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Detailed Technical Drawing (2D/3D): Create precise architectural and interior floor plans, elevations, sections, reflected ceiling plans (RCP), electrical/plumbing layouts, and flooring patterns using AutoCAD (2D) and SketchUp/Revit (3D).

• Shop Drawings & Joinery Details: Develop detailed fabrication drawings, furniture details, joinery cross-sections, and custom millwork specifications suitable for production and on-site assembly.

• Site Surveys & Measurements: Conduct physical on-site measurements, surveys, and analysis of existing space conditions, ensuring drawings reflect accurate current site realities.

• Design Development Support: Collaborate closely with Project Leads, Interior Designers, and Engineers to refine design concepts, iterate details, and integrate structural, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), and civil engineering elements into the master drawings.

• Construction Documentation (GFC): Manage, update, and organize Good for Construction (GFC) drawings, ensuring consistent version control and that all drawings comply with local building codes, regulations, and quality standards.

• BoQ & Material Coordination: Assist in generating quantities for Bills of Quantities (BoQ) based on finalized drawings and coordinate with vendors for technical specifications.

Key Skills & Technical Requirements

1. Drafting Software Proficiency: Advanced expertise in AutoCAD (2D & 3D) is essential. Practical proficiency in SketchUp (for basic 3D modeling) and a working knowledge of Revit or 3ds Max are highly preferred.

2. Interior & Furniture Detailing: Deep understanding of construction methods, material properties, joinery techniques, and interior finishing details.

3. Technical Accuracy: Strong ability to interpret design concepts and convert them into functional, error-free, and practical executable drawings.

4. Site Coordination: Ability to conduct independent site measurement surveys and liaise effectively with site supervisors and contractors.

5. Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills to coordinate between designers, clients, and execution teams.

Qualifications & Experience

Education: Diploma in Drafting/Architecture or a Degree in Interior Design/Architecture.

Experience: Minimum 2–5 years of experience in technical drafting for high-end Residential and Commercial Interior Architecture projects. Experience with turnkey projects is a major advantage.

Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating diverse drafting examples (GFC sets, custom furniture joinery, elevations, RCPs).
