2D/3D Interior Designer

Responsibilities

● Create and present interior design concepts in response to client needs.

● Create estimates, schedules, and staffing plans to complete projects.

● Use software to design, sketch, and provide drawings of proposed projects.

● Work with clients to define project requirements and develop design criteria.

● Undertake design project from concept to completion

● Define project requirements and schedule during the initial phase

● Interpret and translate client needs into rough plans

● Design, Create 2D working drawings, select materials

● Manage procurement, contractors, vendors and internal team

● Check drawings and quality of work

● Research and decide on materials and products sourcing

● Produce “sample” and “mood boards”

● Supervise work progress for multiple projects simultaneously

● Take ownership of multiple projects

● Work closely with designers, decorators, architects and contractors

● Meet prospective clients and generate business

● Research and follow industry changes, evolutions and best practices

● Prepare documentation

● Take initiatives for company growth

Requirements

● Proven working experience in decorating interior spaces (consultations, renovations, space planning and new

constructions)

● Expertise in layout, colour, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture and all installations.

● Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator or other design programs

● Excellent portfolio of previous works

● Creative talent, imagination and eye for design

● Great communication and presentation skills

● Team management skills

● Ready to learn new designing software

● Should be able to mentor team

● BS degree in Interior Design or B. Arch or similar
