Job Summary

A Junior Accountant assists in maintaining financial records, processing transactions, preparing reports, and supporting the accounting team in day-to-day financial operations. The role requires attention to detail, accuracy, and a basic understanding of accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and maintain financial transactions in accounting software.

• Prepare and process invoices, payments, and receipts.

• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.

• Reconcile bank statements and company accounts.

• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.

• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Assist in preparing financial reports and statements.

• Monitor and track expenses and budgets.

• Help ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

• Coordinate with vendors, customers, and internal departments regarding financial matters.

• Support audits by organizing and providing required documentation.

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office applications.

• Familiarity with accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or Zoho Books.

• Strong numerical and analytical skills.

• Good organizational and time-management abilities.

• Attention to detail and accuracy.

• Effective communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Freshers or candidates with up to 2 years of accounting experience can apply.

• Knowledge of GST, TDS, and basic taxation is an advantage.

Assisted in maintaining financial records, processing invoices and payments, reconciling bank accounts, preparing financial reports, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring accurate documentation of financial transactions in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
