Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing our daily accounting tasks, maintaining financial records, and supporting the senior accounting staff. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level professional looking to build a strong foundation in corporate accounting and finance.

Key Responsibilities

Data Entry: Accurately post daily financial transactions, journal entries, and expenses into the company's accounting software.

Accounts Payable & Receivable: Assist in processing vendor invoices, preparing payments, and following up on client payments and pending receivables.

Bank Reconciliation: Assist in updating and reconciling bank statements on a weekly and monthly basis to ensure accuracy.

Tax Assistance: Support the team with basic tax-related computations, including GST and TDS calculations and return filings.

Financial Reporting: Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly financial reports, balance sheets, and income statements.

Record Keeping: Maintain highly organized physical and digital records of all invoices, receipts, and financial documents.

Audit Support: Provide necessary documentation and administrative support during internal and external audits.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience: 0 to 2 years of relevant experience in accounting or bookkeeping (relevant internships are a plus).

Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g., Tally Prime, QuickBooks, or Zoho Books) and proficiency in MS Office, especially Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.).

Core Knowledge: Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, bookkeeping practices, and current Indian taxation rules (GST, TDS).

Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, good mathematical and analytical skills, and excellent written and verbal communication.
