Title and Summary Director, AccountingRole & Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: • Lead and oversee the record to report function including expense accruals and reclasses, fixed assets accounting, prepaid accounting for GBS, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and global standards. • Develop and execute strategies for process improvement, standardization, and automation to enhance operational efficiency. • Partner with global stakeholders, including Corporate Controllership, Treasury, and Legal, to align on priorities and drive initiatives. Financial Reporting & Compliance: • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and reports in compliance with GAAP, and applicable standards. • Ensure strong internal controls are in place to maintain compliance with corporate policies and external regulations. Team Management & Development: • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth. • Set clear goals and expectations for team members, providing regular feedback and development opportunities. • Drive a collaborative team environment that promotes innovation and accountability. Operational Excellence: • Oversee the preparation and review of reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end closing processes to ensure accuracy and completeness. • Identify and address risks in financial reporting and operations, implementing mitigation plans as needed. • Evaluate and implement advanced tools and technologies to streamline accounting processes and improve accuracy. Stakeholder Engagement: • Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing support across the undertaken functions. • Collaborate with other GBS leaders to harmonize processes and share best practices. • Communicate effectively with senior leadership, providing insights into accounting operations and performance metrics. All About You: • Minimum of [12] years of experience in a senior leadership role within global business services, preferably in a multinational environment. • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent qualification preferred. • Strong technical expertise in global accounting standards and regulations. • Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse team. • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with auditors, cross-functional teams, and leadership. • Strategic thinking and problem-solving ability. • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. • Proactive and results-oriented mindset. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
