Job Description – Billing Executive

Department: Billing
Reporting To: Billing Manager / Administrator
Location: Wakad, Pune

Job Summary:

The Billing Executive is responsible for managing accurate and timely billing processes for all patients (IPD & OPD). The role includes preparing bills, handling payments, coordinating with insurance/TPA, and maintaining proper financial records in accordance with hospital policies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and update IPD and OPD patient bills accurately.

2. Generate final bills at the time of discharge and ensure timely payment collection.

3. Handle cash, card, UPI, and other modes of payment responsibly.

4. Coordinate with insurance companies and TPA for approvals and documentation.

5. Maintain daily cash collection records and submit reports to the accounts department.

6. Ensure accurate data entry in hospital billing software.

7. Identify and rectify billing errors promptly.

8. Provide clear billing explanations to patients and relatives politely.

9. Maintain confidentiality of patient and financial information.

10. Perform additional duties assigned by the Administrator/Management.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum Qualification: Graduate (Commerce preferred)

• Knowledge of Hospital Billing / Tally / Accounting

• Proficiency in MS Excel and billing software

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Experience in cash handling

Experience:

• 1–3 years of experience in hospital billing preferred

Working Hours:

• As per hospital shift policy

• It is a Full Time అకౌంటెంట్ job for candidates with 6 months - 2 years of experience.
