Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain detailed balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports for multiple properties or corporate entities.Day-to-Day Accounting: Manage accounts payable (AP) by processing vendor invoices and ensure accounts receivable (AR) by tracking tenant rent collections andCAM (Common Area Maintenance) charges.Reconciliation: Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and reconcile intercompany accounts related to property management and development.Budgeting & Analysis: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and perform ongoing variance analysis to help management identify financial trends and property performance issues.Property-Specific Entries: Calculate and record complex real estate transactions such as depreciation, amortization, leasing commissions, and tenant improvements.Specialized Local & Industry ComplianceTax & Statutory Compliance: Ensure financial records comply with relevant accounting frameworks (e.g., GAAP) and localized regulatory standards. In India, this includes handling TDS, GST, and adherence to RERA compliances.Audit Support: Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits by providing necessary property documentation and transaction histories.Investor & Asset Management: Prepare capital calls, distributions, and quarterly statements for real estate investors and investment funds.Requirements and QualificationsEducation: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
