Property Financial Management: Oversee rent collections, calculate Common Area Maintenance (CAM) reconciliations, and handle leasing commissions and depreciation schedules.Financial Reporting: Prepare and distribute balance sheets, income statements, cash flow reports, and investor/NAV packs on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with property managers to prepare annual operating budgets and track performance to prevent unexpected cash flow issues.Compliance & Audits: Ensure property transactions and funds comply with local, state, and federal regulations while coordinating with external auditors.Transactional Analysis: Research and analyze complex financials related to acquisitions, dispositions, and refinancings.Requirements & QualificationsEducation: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CA designation is heavily preferred for senior or fund-level roles.Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of real estate-specific accounting principles, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and lease administration.Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with specialized industry tools like Yardi, AppFolio, or MRI, alongside advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Analytical Skills: Strong ability to track detailed metrics, analyze market trends, and interpret lease agreements.
